An AI may already be quoting you, and you have no idea

Since 22 July 2026, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode have been live in France. Search Console opened a dedicated generative AI report in early June 2026: it gives impressions inside AI answers, but neither clicks nor queries. In other words, you now know that you appear, you still do not know what it brings in. Measuring what exists beats measuring nothing at all.

SEO cannibalization: when two of your pages cancel each other out

Cannibalization is not duplicate content. It is two distinct pages answering the same search intent, so they split links, clicks and Google's trust instead of accumulating them. You spot it by crossing queries with pages in Search Console, and you fix it with a decision: merge, redirect, or refocus one of the two.
